Until September, Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport has direct flights to Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic. Departures to the Dominican Republic take place once a week, on a flight provided by the airline World2Fly, of the Iberostar group, hired for this purpose by the tour operator Newblue.


The Porto-Punta Cana route will be active every Tuesday until the 13th of September. “We already have several departures with 100% occupancy”, revealed Duarte Correia, Newblue’s administrator in Portugal.


The flights will be carried out in an Airbus A330-300 aircraft, with capacity for 400 people on board, 388 passengers and 12 crew members. Each trip will last approximately eight hours.


World2Fly, a Spanish commercial aviation company operating since June last year, at low cost from the Iberian Peninsula to destinations in the Caribbean, Central and North America. In addition to Punta Cana and Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic, it has operations in Havana (Cuba), Orlando (United States) and Cancún (Mexico).


This operation, which runs from July 13th to September 13th, departing from Porto every Tuesday, is intended to offer the entire northern region of the country a direct option to a destination of renowned quality, in the Caribbean.
